Fees and charges

Our fees are clear, competitive and easy to understand.

There are no set-up or annual charges on our accounts and we do not charge for buying, selling or switching funds. Our custody and administration charge (platform fee) is tiered depending on the amount you and your family have invested with Close Brothers Asset Management. This fee is deducted monthly.

Amount invested on our platform* My WealthPartner Online platform fee** Close Brothers standard charge**
Up to £500,000 0.25% 0.25%
£500,001 - £1,000,000 0.175% 0.20%
£1,000,001 - £1,500,000 0.05%  0.10%
£1,500,001 - £2,000,000 Nil Nil
Above £2,000,001 Nil Nil

*We do not charge a platform fee on cash held on our platform or fixed term deposits but we may retain an element of the interest income earned on this.

This will vary with the rate received from the institutions where client money is held but, if cash represented approximately 2.5% of your total holdings, then the annualised net interest income we receive will typically equal approximately 0.06% of the value of your holdings.

**Custody and administration charge on the amount within the band are unchanged.

For example, an investment of £1,000,000 will be charged a platform fee of 0.25% on the first £500,000 and just 0.175% on the second £500,000.

To the extent that we charge a dealing fee on transactions, in exchange traded instruments only, this will not exceed £8.95. You should always check the online trading screens and any order confirmations prior to submitting your transaction request, as any applicable fees and charges will be clearly shown.

The interest rate payable is set out on our website in our Client Assets Factsheet and is subject to change.

Interest will be payable at the stated rate on all uninvested cash with the exception of cash invested in FTDs and any cash held within the ‘other assets’ section of your portfolio.
